LPG Tanker Lorries Begin Indefinite Strike – Risk of Gas Shortage in Six States!
LPG tanker lorries have gone on an indefinite strike starting today. The protest is in response to the new contract regulations issued by oil companies for the period 2025 to 2030.
According to these new rules, two-axle lorries will no longer be allowed, and only three-axle lorries can be used for LPG transportation. Objecting to this decision, LPG lorry owners held multiple rounds of negotiations with oil companies.
As all discussions failed, LPG tanker lorry owners have decided to go on an indefinite strike starting today. This move is likely to cause a shortage of cooking gas in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and four other states.
