Megha Barsenge Set for Major Change with 20-Year Leap and Reincarnation Plot
Before the 20-year leap, Colors TV’s Megha Barsenge will witness a dramatic twist in its storyline.
Megha Barsenge is gearing up for a significant transformation with a 20-year leap that will introduce a reincarnation theme, bringing fresh energy to the narrative and characters. As the story approaches this leap, major twists will alter the plot and the destiny of the main leads.
The show centres around Arjun Talwar (Neil Bhatt), an IAS officer, and Megha (Neha Rana). Their paths cross when Megha urges Arjun to take action against Manoj (Kinshuk Mahajan).
According to India Forums, both Megha and Arjun will be killed by Manoj, marking the climax of the current storyline and setting the stage for the 20-year leap. Following the time jump, Megha’s daughter will be introduced, who bears a striking resemblance to her mother. Neil Bhatt’s character will reappear later in a parallel track, returning with a new identity.
Initially, the show explored the troubled relationship between Megha and Manoj, with Manoj portrayed as mentally unstable. As the plot unfolded, it was revealed that his behaviour masked a darker persona — the leader of a powerful criminal syndicate. His obsession with Megha ultimately leads to the double murder.
Kinshuk Mahajan had previously spoken about his complex character and his comeback to Megha Barsenge. In an interview with the Times of India, he said, “I had to retrain my instincts as an actor to authentically portray Manoj’s journey. I studied real-life cases, read about psychological disorders, and immersed myself in understanding what it means to be emotionally stuck in time. What excites me the most is that Manoj is unpredictable, and his return changes the story in surprising ways.”
To introduce this new plotline, the creative team decided on the leap along with other exciting elements. The recent shift in the show’s timing to 6:30 PM might be part of the strategy to refresh the series and keep the audience engaged.
