Netflix has said that it will analyze and release the films in the future, respecting the sentiments of the nation.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the web series ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’ was released on Netflix on August 29. Based on the 1999 hijacking of an Indian Airlines flight by terrorists, the series sparked controversy as the terrorists were given Hindu names.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has summoned Netflix India chief Monica Shergill for an explanation. After this, Monisha Shergill, who was present in person, explained that in the future, the images will be analyzed and published respecting the sentiments of the nation.
