No agreement on Periyar’s principle of atheism – Vijay’s speech at the Vikravandi conference!

At the Tamilaga Vetrikalagam (TVK) conference held in Vikravandi, actor Vijay addressed the gathering, outlining his political stance and making several key points:

1. Fearless Approach to Politics: Vijay declared, “Whether it’s a snake or politics, we won’t be afraid.” This statement highlighted his readiness to face the challenges and criticisms he may encounter in the political arena.
2. Avoiding Hate Politics: He emphasized that his political approach would not involve hate. “We will not adopt hate politics,” Vijay said, stressing the need for a harmonious and inclusive approach rather than one that divides people.
3. Stance on Atheism: Vijay mentioned that he does not subscribe to Periyar’s ideology of atheism. Instead, he stated, “One race, one God” is the core principle of Taveka, and the party is not against anyone’s beliefs. This indicates a balanced stance respecting people’s religious sentiments.

Anti-Corruption Stand: Vijay pointed out that “corruption-ridden politics is the enemy of Taveka.” He criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) for relying on family politics and running a government based on corruption.
