No Shani Peyarchi Festival on March 29 at Thirunallar Temple – Official Clarification by Temple Administration

The Thirunallar Saneeswarar Temple near Karaikal conducts the Shani Peyarchi festival once every two and a half years based on the Vakya Panchangam. According to this tradition, the next Shani Peyarchi festival will be held only in 2026, as confirmed by the temple administration.

Recently, information circulated that the Shani Peyarchi (Saturn’s transit) would take place on March 29, 2025, based on the Thirukanitha Panchangam (astronomical calculations). This led to confusion among devotees and those planning their temple visits.

To clarify the situation, the temple administration has officially announced that no Shani Peyarchi festival will be held on March 29, 2025. Instead, only the regular daily poojas for Lord Saneeswarar will take place on that day.

Devotees are advised not to believe false information and to plan their visits according to the temple’s official announcements.
