Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the 3rd time. President Thirelapathi Murmu used to administer oath of office and secrecy to him. A 72-member cabinet headed by Narendra Modi took charge. A total of 30 Union Ministers, 5 Chief Ministers with individual responsibility and 36 Chief Ministers have taken charge.
24 states are represented in the Union Cabinet. Similarly, 27 OBCs, 10 Scheduled Tribes and 5 Scheduled Tribes have been given seats. Following Prime Minister Modi, President Thirelapathi Murmu administered the oath of office to Union Ministers.
Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, JP Natta and Shivraj Singh Chelahan took oath in Hindi. After that, Nirmala Sitharaman, who came to take charge as Union Minister, took the oath in English. Nirmala Sitharaman, who has a background in Tamil Nadu, has taken up the language of English.
He has said on various occasions that he cannot speak Hindi perfectly. Following him, Union Minister Jaishankar and Sarbananda Sonowal were sworn in in English. While most of the Union Ministers belonging to the BJP have taken the oath in Hindi, only three of them have taken it in English.
