The Central Law Ministry has clarified that the one nation, one election scheme is not against federalism.

The Constitutional Amendment Bill regarding holding simultaneous elections across the country was tabled in Parliament.

While the opposition parties are strongly opposing this, the Central Law Ministry has supported the one nation, one election scheme.

Explaining this, the Central Law Ministry has stated that holding simultaneous elections for the assemblies across the country is not against democracy.
