The Monsoon Session of Parliament 2025, scheduled to conclude on August 21, has been marked by repeated disruptions as opposition members protest against the Bihar Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

On Tuesday, the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned following opposition protests over the revision of Bihar’s electoral rolls. The Lower House is slated to reconvene on Monday at 11 am. Similarly, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned and will meet again at 11 am on August 18.

Earlier, on Monday, the Lok Sabha passed the National Sports Governance Bill and the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill, with minimal presence of Opposition MPs. On Tuesday, the Rajya Sabha also approved both the Bills.

Meanwhile, members of the INDIA bloc boycotted the Parliament session on Monday and staged a march to the Election Commission office, protesting “vote theft” allegations made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
