Parties That Want to Defeat DMK Can Join BJP Alliance – State President Annamalai’s Statement
BJP state president Annamalai addressed the media after attending an Iftar event organized by the BJP in Chennai, Egmore. He made several key political statements during his speech.
He stated:
“We have been continuously exposing the mistakes and betrayals committed by the DMK. The people of Tamil Nadu are closely observing the actions of the DMK government. In the next eight months, the political alliances may change significantly. Any party that wants to defeat the DMK is welcome to join the BJP alliance.”
Anyone Can Meet Amit Shah
Addressing criticisms from DMK leaders about meetings with Amit Shah, Annamalai said, “There are no restrictions on who can meet Amit Shah. Any political leader can meet him. It is a normal political practice.”
Impact of NDA in the 2026 Elections
Annamalai also stated, “Many parties are moving toward the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The political landscape will evolve further, and the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections will reflect this change.”
Prime Minister Modi’s Welfare Schemes for Minorities
While discussing welfare initiatives, he highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has implemented several beneficial schemes for minority communities. Some key initiatives include:
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – 31% of the beneficiaries are from minority communities.
- Mudra Loan Scheme – 36% of beneficiaries from minority communities have received financial assistance at low interest rates.
- PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi – 33% of beneficiaries are from minority communities.
- Ujjwala Yojana Scheme – 37% of the beneficiaries received free LPG connections.
- Financial assistance of ₹51,000 is provided to minority girls upon completing school education under the Modi government.
What Has the DMK Done for Minority Communities?
After listing several welfare measures initiated by the central government, Annamalai raised a critical question:
“What welfare schemes has the DMK government implemented for minority communities? Have they introduced any meaningful programs? Instead of working for the people’s benefit, the DMK is focused on political gains. The people will soon respond appropriately.”
With this, Annamalai concluded his speech, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development and the changing political dynamics in Tamil Nadu.
