The first state conference of the Tamilaga Vetrikalagam, titled “Victory Policy Festival,” is being held today at V. Saalai near Vikravandi in the Villupuram district. Party leader Vijay will hoist the party flag on a 100-foot-high flagpole and deliver a speech outlining the party’s policies.
The stage has been set up on a grand scale, measuring 60 feet in width and 170 feet in length. To meet party members and supporters, Vijay will walk a raised pathway that stretches 800 meters from the stage.
The stage is adorned with cutouts of prominent figures. On the left, there are cutouts of Periyar, Ambedkar, Kamarajar, Velu Nachiyar, and freedom fighter Anjalai Ammal. On the right, there are cutouts of Tamil Annai (Mother Tamil), along with the Chera, Chola, and Pandya kings, as well as a cutout of Vijay.
For the conference, several arrangements have been made: 55,000 seats, 40 LED screens, 300 mobile toilets, and 700 water tanks have been set up. Additionally, 500,000 water bottles and 100,000 biscuit packets are prepared for distribution.
In terms of security, 4,000 police officers and bouncers have been deployed. Attendees are urged to follow safety guidelines and travel protocols. The party leader Vijay emphasized safe travel, requesting participants to avoid causing disruptions to public transportation and cooperate with the safety measures put in place by the police and security volunteers.
The event is scheduled to start in the evening and conclude by 9 PM. Members and supporters from the districts of Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Chengalpattu, and Kanchipuram are expected to attend, with security forces actively overseeing the event’s arrangements.
