Pasupathi Kumar Paras has been elected as the new national leader of the Lok Jana Shakti Party.
Chirac Paswan, son of the late Ramvilas Paswan, was the leader of the party and the Lok Sabha committee. Last year, the Lok Janashakthi Party, led by Chirac Paswan, withdrew from the BJP alliance and lost the by-elections to the BJP. Chirac Paswan’s decision had caused dissatisfaction for Pasupathikuma Baras.
Following this, the faction led by Chirac Paswan expelled 5 MPs who supported Pasupathikuma Paras from the party. On the other hand, the faction led by Pashupatinath Paras removed Chirac Paswan from the post of national leader of the party. In this context, the executive committee meeting of the Lok Jana Shakti Party was held in Patna today.
In it, Pasupathi Kumar Paras has been elected as the new national leader of the Lok Jana Shakti Party. Pasupathi Kumar Paras said, “I was nominated for the post of National President and was unanimously elected.
He said no one else had filed a nomination for the post. Currently, the two factions, led by Chirac Paswan and Pashupatinath Paras, are in the process of taking full control of the party.
The next step is for both parties to seek the help of the ‘Election’ Commissioner to recognize themselves as the true Lok Jana Shakti Party.
