Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai has said that Prime Minister Modi will not bring any project against Tamil Nadu.
The central government recently canceled the tungsten mining project that was to be implemented in Aritapatti near Melur. Following this, a felicitation ceremony was held in A. Vallapatti today. Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai participated in the ceremony and spoke:
I want to bring Prime Minister Modi. Central Minister Kishan Reddy has come on behalf of Prime Minister Modi. He said that he had made prominent activists from this area go to Delhi to meet Central Minister Kishan Reddy, and as he had promised, the tungsten project has now been canceled. Annamalai said that the Central Minister has come to participate in this ceremony by accepting the invitation of the public.
He said that canceling the central government’s project is not an easy task, and Minister Kishan Reddy took action by canceling the tungsten project within 24 hours.
He said that the protest of the people of this area is a very fair protest and that Prime Minister Modi is in tune with the sentiments of the people of Tamil Nadu. Annamalai also mentioned that it was the Prime Minister Modi government that brought back the Jallikattu competition.
This project was not canceled because a resolution was passed in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, and you are passing resolutions in the Assembly every week. Is that all happening? Modi is not afraid of the threats of the state government. Annamalai said. Is Modi, who is wags his finger in the eye of Ukraine and Russia, afraid of the state government? Annamalai also raised a question.
He said that Prime Minister Modi canceled this project out of respect for the feelings of the public. He said that the central government did not cancel the tungsten project out of fear of the state government, but that it has canceled the project by yielding to the love of the people.
Annamalai also pointed out that the Tamil Nadu government had filed a case against the people who were protesting. He said that the state government should declare this area as a protected agricultural zone.
Annamalai said that people should have faith in the central government and that this event has taken place as a proof for India itself.
