A special police team has been formed to track down those who murdered a police officer near Usilampatti in Madurai district and are now absconding.
The incident took place near a TASMAC liquor shop in Navarpatty, where some individuals were consuming alcohol. Police officer Muthukumaran, who arrived at the scene, reportedly advised a group of men who had previously been arrested in a ganja-related case and later released. Enraged by his intervention, some individuals from the group suddenly attacked him with a stone, killing him on the spot.
Investigations revealed that the suspects involved in this brutal attack were from Theni district. Following this, under the leadership of the IG of Dindigul Range, multiple special teams have been formed to intensify search operations across Theni district. Police officials are actively working to apprehend the suspects as soon as possible.
