President Vladimir Putin honored Prime Minister Modi with the country’s highest award in Russia.
Prime Minister Modi is on a state visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
There he met and held talks with President Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow. In this, the leaders of the two countries discussed various issues including fuel, trade and security.
Vladimir Putin today honored Prime Minister Modi with Russia’s highest award, Order of St. Andrew.
This award was arranged to be given last year 2019. In between it was postponed due to various reasons including covid infection. Russian President Putin honored PM Modi with this award today.
My heartfelt thanks to Putin. The award given to me is an honor given to 140 crore Indians. Prime Minister Modi said it was a tribute to the mutual trust and deep friendship between the two countries.
Indo-Russian relations have strengthened during Modi’s 10-year rule. President Putin said that he is happy to give the award to Prime Minister Modi.
