Reem Shaikh Injures Leg on Laughter Chefs Set, Shares Health Update With Followers
Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment has been grabbing attention ever since its first season premiered. Thanks to the participation of well-known TV celebrities and its fresh concept, the show has continued to keep audiences entertained. However, it’s not always as smooth and cheerful behind the scenes as it appears on screen. Recently, Reem Shaikh sustained a leg injury while shooting for the show. This isn’t the first time she’s been hurt during the shoot — last year, Reem suffered facial burns while preparing food on the same show.
Reem took to her Instagram Stories to share a mirror selfie showing her leg wrapped in a bandage. Alongside the photo, she captioned, “Just normal things after shooting for Laughter Chef,” hinting that the injury took place on set.
Earlier, during the first season of Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment, she accidentally splashed hot oil on her face while cooking, resulting in facial burns. Reem had shared glimpses of her recovery journey on social media, thanking her fans for their encouragement and saying that the experience had only made her more determined.
Reem also spoke about the incident during a round table discussion last year. She revealed, “My parents were against it. They said, ‘If the producers see this, they’ll never call you for work again’.” The actress then described the accident that caused the injury: “I was making chashni, and I think it overheated. It just splashed, and the right side of my face was burned.”
In terms of work, Reem appeared in Season 1 of Laughter Chefs alongside Jannat Zubair. She entered the second season midway and was paired with Aly Goni. The show features television stars stepping out of their comfort zones and into the kitchen, often with humorous and unexpected results. The show is hosted by comedian Bharti Singh, with chef Harpal Singh Sokhi as the judge evaluating their culinary efforts.
The lineup also includes Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Sudesh Lehri, Nia Sharma, Rahul Vaidya, Rubina Dilaik, Karan Kundrra, Elvish Yadav, Ankita Lokhande, and Vicky Jain.
