Refugees from West Pakistan have thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for granting them the citizenship they were denied for 70 years
West Pakistan Refugee Association President Laba Ram Gandhi met Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh in Delhi. On behalf of the West Pakistani refugees, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government for granting them citizenship in India, which had been denied to them for the last 70 years.
He said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided firm support and assistance during the distressing period of their relocation. They also said that the kindness shown to them and ensuring their welfare by integrating them into the Indian society has made them resilient.
