The BJP State Special Working Committee meeting is being held under the chairmanship of the party’s state president Annamalai. Resolutions have been passed condemning the DMK government.
The BJP State Executive Committee meeting is being held today at Srivaru Venkatajalapathi Palace in Wanakaram, Chennai. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister of State L. Murugan participated as special invitees in this meeting.
Tamil Nadu BJP in-charge Arvind Menon, co-in-charge P. Sudhakar Reddy, senior BJP leaders Pon Radhakrishnan, Tamilisai Soundararajan, Nayanar Nagendran, Vanathi Srinivasan and more than 4000 party functionaries also participated in this executive committee meeting.
In the BJP working committee meeting, a silent tribute was paid to the deceased BJP members, Bangaru Adikalar, MS Swaminathan, Ilayaraja’s daughter Bhavadharani, and Bahujan Samaj Party state president Armstrong, who died in Kallakurichi drinking alcohol.
Also, a resolution has been passed condemning the law and order disorders in Tamil Nadu in this working committee meeting. The resolution was also passed condemning the DMK government for failing to prevent the deaths due to alcoholism in Kallakurichi.
As it is the first special working committee meeting to be held after the Lok Sabha elections, the election results in this meeting. It seems that the activities of the party and the next steps are being discussed.
