Gunpoint Robbery at a Jewellery Shop in Ara, Bihar – Thieves Escape with ₹25 Lakh Worth of Gold

A shocking armed robbery took place in Ara, a city in Bihar, where a gang of six robbers stormed into a jewellery shop, held the staff and customers at gunpoint, and looted gold ornaments worth ₹25 lakh before making their escape.

The Planned Attack

The robbery occurred in a prominent commercial area of Ara, where business was proceeding as usual. Suddenly, six masked men barged into the jewellery shop, brandishing firearms and threatening both employees and customers.

The robbers ensured no one could escape or raise an alarm. Those who tried to flee were overpowered and forced to stay inside. They also disabled security cameras before proceeding with the heist. Additionally, reports suggest they tampered with electrical systems to prevent security alarms from going off.

Looting Gold Worth ₹25 Lakh

The gang appeared well-trained, targeting only high-value jewellery. They swiftly identified and grabbed gold chains, bangles, rings, earrings, and other valuable ornaments displayed in glass showcases.

The shop owner later confirmed that the total value of the stolen jewellery was around ₹25 lakh. Following the incident, he immediately reported the crime to the police.

Swift Police Action

As soon as the authorities were alerted, the Ara Police acted quickly. When the robbers tried to escape, police officers chased them, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

Two of the robbers sustained bullet injuries and were arrested on the spot. During interrogation, they provided crucial information about the crime and their gang members.
