RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Calls on India to Lead World Towards Peace on Independence Day

Speaking on Independence Day in Bhubaneswar, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat urged India to take the lead in guiding the world towards peace and harmony. Highlighting the nation’s deep spiritual roots, he stressed that India has a special responsibility to offer a new vision for global unity.

“India is unlike any other nation,” Bhagwat said. “Our goal is to bring peace and joy to the world, sharing our Dharma and values. The freedom struggle was not only for political independence but to ensure that every citizen could live with happiness, courage, safety, peace, and dignity.”

Addressing the persistent global crises, he observed that despite centuries of attempts and countless experiments, the world still lacks lasting solutions. Bhagwat urged Indians to turn inward and present an approach grounded in religious and cultural values that promote universal welfare.

“It is our responsibility to offer the world a path to a new era of peace and happiness, built on our own vision and rooted in spiritual principles,” he said.

The remarks came after he hoisted the national flag at the Utkal Bipanna Sahayata Samiti in Bhubaneswar.
