Rupali Ganguly Urges Fans To Wear Masks As COVID-19 Cases Rise

Sharing a post on social media, Rupali Ganguly used hashtags like #Mask and #MaskUp, advising fans to stay alert as COVID-19 appears to be making a comeback.

The recent death of two COVID-19 patients in Mumbai, along with a noticeable spike in cases in certain parts of the country, has raised fresh alarm bells: Is the virus returning to India? Amid rising concern, Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly took to Instagram to urge her followers to remain cautious. She shared a news headline that read, “Coronavirus returns to India. Mumbai reports 53 active COVID cases”, and advised people to wear masks and safeguard themselves from the virus.

While posting the update, Rupali Ganguly added hashtags like #Mask and #MaskUp, encouraging fans to take necessary precautions as COVID-19 resurfaces again.

Often Vocal On Social Issues

Rupali Ganguly frequently voices her opinions on various national issues. Recently, when Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber from Haryana, was arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan and leaking sensitive military information, Rupali posted a strongly worded note on social media. She wrote, “Such people don’t even realise when their affection for Pakistan turns into hatred for India. First, they speak about ‘Aman Ki Aasha’, and then end up hating India. Who knows how many such people are working secretly against the country — not a single one should be spared.”

Rupali And ‘Anupamaa’

Rupali Ganguly continues to receive widespread appreciation for her role in Anupamaa on Star Plus. Former cast members like Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat, Gaurav Khanna, and Madalsa Sharma were previously part of the show but left due to personal reasons. Following their departure, rumours began to circulate claiming that Rupali was responsible for their exits.

More recently, reports have surfaced suggesting that Manish Goel, who portrays Raghav in Anupamaa, might also be quitting the show due to reported differences with Rupali. Responding to these claims in a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, the show’s producer Rajan Shahi stated that Rupali Ganguly is constantly targeted without reason.

In a sarcastic remark, he said, “Rupali is blamed for everything — both nationally and internationally — whether it’s an economic issue, a social problem, or anything else. Even if something goes wrong in Germany, Rupali is held responsible. She’s simply an easy target.”

Anupamaa remains one of Indian television’s most loved daily soaps, appreciated for its emotional storytelling, unexpected twists, and social messages.
