Sabarimala Panguni Uthiram Arattu Festival to Begin on the 2nd of Next Month!
The renowned Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple in Kerala is all set to celebrate the annual Panguni Uthiram Arattu Festival with grandeur. This festival is considered a spiritually significant event for devotees.
Temple Opening Ceremony:
Ahead of the festival, the temple doors will be opened on the 1st of next month at 5 PM. Since a large number of devotees are expected, necessary security and arrangements have been put in place.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony:
The festival will officially commence with the flag hoisting ceremony on the 2nd of next month at 9:30 AM in the temple premises. This marks the beginning of the ten-day-long celebrations.
Highlights of the Festival:
Throughout these ten days, various spiritual rituals such as Angapradakshinam (devotional rolling on the temple floor), Bhagavathi Seva, chanting of sacred mantras, special abhishekams (ritualistic bathing of the deity), and important poojas will be conducted.
On the final day, the grand Arattu ceremony will take place, during which the idol of Lord Ayyappa, adorned in the sacred golden attire (Thanga Angi), will be taken to the Uthpannakulam (holy pond) for a ceremonial dip.
With thousands of devotees expected to participate, temple authorities have put in place necessary safety measures. Devotees have been requested to follow the prescribed guidelines and experience the festival in a spiritually uplifting manner.
