Sasikala should be reinstated in AIADMK. Reports have surfaced that the Ramanathapuram administrators have requested Edappadi Palanichamy that only then they can retain the votes of the three-member community.
Edappadi Palaniswami is the General Secretary of AIADMK. In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the AIADMK and its allies were defeated in 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In this situation, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami is calling the constituency wise administrators to Chennai and conducting serious consultations regarding the defeat of the Lok Sabha elections.
This consultation meeting is going on at the head office of AIADMK in Chennai. The consultation meeting which started on last 10th was held today for the 6th day. Edappadi Palanichamy held a meeting with Ramanathapuram Constituency Administrators in the morning and Nellai Constituency Administrators in the afternoon.
In this, Edappadi Palaniswami consulted with Ramanathapuram Lok Sabha Constituency Executives for 3 hours. Because the Indian Union Muslim League candidate Navus Ghani (5,09,664 votes) who entered the field in the DMK alliance won the Lok Sabha elections. Former Chief Minister O Panneer Selvam, who contested as an independent in the BJP alliance, came second. He got 3,42,882 votes. AIADMK candidate Jayaperumal was relegated to the 3rd position here. He got 99,780 votes.
O Panneer Selvam was removed from the party by Edappadi Palaniswami. It was in this situation that it was discussed in detail how he got the 2nd position ahead of the AIADMK candidate. Then the Ramanathapuram administrators said, “O Panneer Selvam spent too much money. AIADMK’s vote in Thiruvadan Assembly Constituency fell. Three members of the community have voted for O Panneer Selvam. As a result, even though the party candidates worked hard, they did not get votes.
Also in Ramanathapuram there are many people of trinity community. It is said that it would be good if Sasikala joins the party. On hearing this, Edappadi Palaniswami did not give any answer. Instead, “forget the election failures. Work harder now. We must win the next election. Don’t worry about 2026 assembly election alliance. A strong alliance will definitely be formed,” he said.
