A tragic road accident occurred this morning near Sipcot, in the Rengammal Chathiram area of Pudukkottai. A government bus and a private school bus collided head-on, resulting in serious injuries to more than 15 schoolchildren.
As soon as the accident happened, local residents and police rushed to the scene and carried out rescue operations. The injured children were immediately taken to the Pudukkottai Government Hospital, where doctors provided emergency medical treatment and are closely monitoring their condition.
Following the incident, Pudukkottai BJP district president Ramachandran visited the hospital to inquire about the well-being of the injured students. He personally met with the children and their parents, offering them words of comfort and reassurance.
Additionally, he informed Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai about the accident and explained the situation in detail. Upon receiving the news, Annamalai promptly contacted the parents of the injured children through a video call.
During the conversation, Annamalai assured the parents that the children would recover soon and return home safely. He also spoke to the doctors to understand the treatment being provided and ensured that the children received all necessary medical assistance without any delay.
The accident had caused significant distress among the students and their families, but Annamalai’s words of support brought some relief to the anxious parents. Meanwhile, officials are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
