In Andhra Pradesh, six Naxalites were shot dead in a clash with riot police in the Visakhapatnam forest.
In Andhra Pradesh, Special Task Force (STF) deployed to suppress the Naxalites raided the Deegalametta forest in the Koyuru block of Visakhapatnam. Then, there was a fierce gun battle between the operatives and the Naxalites. Of these, 6 Naxalites were shot dead. Authorities said AK-47 rifles, ammunition and ammunition were confiscated from them.
It has been reported that senior Naxalite leaders fled during the clashes. Following this, the police are conducting intensive search in the forest by helicopter.
