A special train is run between Ernakulam and Bangalore on the occasion of Onam festival.

Southern Railway has decided to run a special train between Ernakulam in Kerala and Bengaluru in Karnataka to avoid the rush of passengers on the occasion of Onam festival.

A press release issued by Southern Railway said:-

Ernakulam-Elekanga Special Train (Car No: 06101) will depart from Ernakulam at 12.40 pm on the 4th and 6th and reach Elekanga at 11 pm on the same day.

In the opposite direction, Elkanga-Ernakulam Special Train (06102) will depart from Elkanga at 5 am on the 5th and 7th and reach Ernakulam at 2.20 pm on the same day. These trains will stop at Thrissur, Palakkad, Bothanur, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Whitefield, KRpuram railway stations in both directions. It says so.
