Stop Insulting Hindu Beliefs in the Name of Atheism” – Annamalai Warns Minister Sekarbabu

Former Tamil Nadu BJP State President K. Annamalai has strongly criticized the DMK government and Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K. Sekarbabu, stating that if the act of insulting Hindu beliefs under the guise of “atheism” continues, the public will teach the DMK a lesson.

In a social media post, Annamalai alleged:

“DMK ministers are competing to prove who is the most loyal servant to the Chief Minister’s family. As part of this competition, Minister Sekarbabu is going to the extent of decorating the memorial of late DMK leader Karunanidhi like a temple tower, misusing the powers of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department.”

He further accused the DMK of long-standing disrespect towards Hindu sentiments:

“The DMK, which proudly declares its lack of belief in God, has made it a profession to hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Enough is enough—public patience has its limits.”

Annamalai issued a sharp warning to Minister Sekarbabu:

“If he truly has such deep affection for his late leader, let him worship his photo in his home’s prayer room. But using state-controlled temples to elevate political figures is nothing but an insult to Hindu faith.”

He concluded by stating that if this “atheist drama” continues at the expense of Hindu beliefs, the people of Tamil Nadu will ensure a strong response.

This controversy has further intensified the ongoing political tension in Tamil Nadu, where matters of faith, culture, and politics are increasingly intersecting in public discourse. With elections ahead, clashes between BJP and DMK on religious issues are expected to escalate.
