Kebraj used to run a karate training school in Anna Nagar, Chennai. Police arrested Karate Master Kebraj 7 years later on a complaint that he had taken a schoolboy alone and sexually harassed him. He is also being investigated by the police.
Schools in Tamil Nadu have been closed for more than a year due to corona damage. However classes are being conducted online at various private schools. In this situation, the complaints that the teachers sexually harassed the students during the online class have come as a great shock.
It is noteworthy that Rajagopalan, a school teacher in KK Nagar, has already been arrested in connection with the complaint.
In this situation, Kebraj filed a petition in the Chennai Primary Sessions Court seeking bail.
Counsel for the petitioner said, “He should be released on bail after 7 years on the ground that the complaint was filed and that it was a false complaint.”
Rejecting this, the public prosecutor said, “The petitioner has misbehaved not only with the student who lodged the complaint but also with some other students, including girls. Therefore, bail should not be granted as this complaint may be registered under the Posco Act.”
The trial judge dismissed the petition on the ground that bail could not be granted under the present circumstances as there was a possibility of prosecution under the Posco Act.
