Supreme Court issues notice to BJP organizational secretary Kesava Vinayaka regarding Rs 4 crore confiscation….

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to BJP organizational secretary Kesava Vinayaka in connection with the seizure of Rs 4 crore from the Nellie Express during the Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court has issued this notice in the hearing of CBCID’s appeal against the Madras High Court’s order to interrogate BJP executive Keshav Vinayaka with court permission.

During the Lok Sabha elections last April, Rs 4 crore cash was seized from the Nellai Express train departing from Chennai. The issue of Rs 4 crore being transported without permission and without proper documents created a lot of excitement.

BJP’s Satish, his brother Naveen and Perumal were arrested in connection with the seizure of Rs 4 crore cash. The case heated up as all the 3 arrested persons gave a statement that the money was taken for the BJP candidate Nayanar Nagendran, who contested from the Tirunelveli constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.

After this, the case was transferred to the CBCID division. BJP’s Nayanar Nagendran, SR Shekhar, Kesava Vinayagam and others were questioned by the CBCID police in connection with the seizure of Rs 4 crore cash. The CBCID police also summoned Kesava Vinayaka to hand over his cell phone. Kesava Vinagam filed a case against this summons in the Madras High Court. The Madras High Court, after hearing this, ordered the CBCID police to interrogate Kesava Vinayaka with their permission.

CBCIT Police of Tamil Nadu filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against this order of the Madras High Court. A hearing on this petition was held in the Supreme Court today. Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal appeared on behalf of the CBCIT Division of Tamil Nadu Government. After today’s hearing, the Supreme Court ordered to send a notice to Kesava Vinayagam to reply.
