Tamil Nadu Soldier Martyred in a Clash with Terrorists – Laid to Rest with Full Military Honors
Vinothkumar, a native of Vembakkam near Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai district, served as a Head Constable in the Border Security Force. While on duty in Jammu and Kashmir, he attained martyrdom during a fierce gunfight with terrorists.
His mortal remains were brought to his hometown, Vembakkam, and handed over to his wife, Narmadha, with due respect by the army and police officials.
Following this, the District Collector, Superintendent of Police, students, and members of the public paid their final respects to the brave soldier. His funeral was conducted with full military honors, including a 24-gun salute, as a tribute to his supreme sacrifice for the nation.
