The question of the people is whether the capital is once again turning into a killing city under DMK rule

During the DMK regime, the state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party was hacked to death in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, which has created panic among the public. And the question is whether the capital is re-emerging as a killing city.

While the two incidents in Kallakurichi have become a black mark for the DMK regime, now in the capital city of Chennai, the state president of Bahujan Samaj Party Armstrong was hacked to death in front of his house last night. The murder has sent shockwaves across the country beyond Tamil Nadu. In particular, Bahujan Samaj Party National President Mayawati strongly condemned the massacre and demanded that the culprits be punished immediately. Mayawati also said that Armstrong was a strong voice of the Dalit people.

Ayanavaram, Perampur and other areas are under great tension due to this carnage. All the common people are frozen. There is an uproar among BSP party workers. In his X post, Chief Minister Stalin said that the assassination of Armstrong was shocking and deeply saddening and that the police had arrested those involved overnight.

However, many people including BSP are strongly condemning his record. Overnight the police did not arrest the killers. 8 persons have surrendered themselves at Anna Nagar police station. If the reality is like this, some people are giving feedback that it is shocking that the Chief Minister has changed his words.

Three times the intelligence has warned that Armstrong’s life is in danger. Similarly, the Integrated Crime Investigation Department has also issued a warning. But now there is a shocking information that the police did not take any action. An additional commissioner is conducting an investigation at the BSP office after the murder. The police have been mobilized. Therefore, the BSP workers are crying and complaining in front of the party office that this was a massacre due to the negligence of the police.

Eight people have been arrested, including Arkadu Balu, who surrendered at the police station after claiming responsibility for Armstrong’s murder. It has been revealed that the murder took place due to enmity. Armstrong lived in an apartment in Ayanavaram, Chennai. He is demolishing his old house on Venugopalaswamy Street in Perambur and renovating it. He has made a habit of visiting its construction works daily and supervising the works.

It is said that Armstrong, who went to see the works last night as usual, was standing there talking with his friends. Then a gang of 8 people on a two-wheeler slashed Armstrong with scythes. Armstrong’s friends, Balaji and Veeramani, who tried to stop the mob, received cuts on their legs, backs and ears. Also footage of the killers fleeing was captured on CCTV cameras in the area.

Armstrong, who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai last night in a critical condition, died due to lack of treatment. An autopsy is now being conducted on his body. A friend of Armstrong’s who witnessed the murder said a man in a black shirt had patrolled the area twice in the morning and alerted them. The man also testified that he cut Armstrong.

Opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami, Thirumavalavan, Annamalai and other leaders have condemned the murder. Vijay said that law and order should be established without compromise. Human rights activist Evidence Kathir has said that 3 Dalit leaders including BSP leader Armstrong have been killed in the last 4 days alone. He has published a list of names like Armstrong, Susainathan, Rajesh. Is Tamilnadu becoming a Dalit killing state? He has doubted that.

In this DMK regime, Jayakumar Thanasingh, Nellai District Congress President, was mysteriously hacked to death in this manner. AIADMK executive Shanmugam was hacked to death in Kondlampatti in Salem. Recently Deepak Raja was murdered in Nella. Political assassinations are happening one after the other. People like Jayalalithaa have often pointed out that DMK rule usually means law and order problems.

The burning of a press office in Madurai during the DMK rule is a testimony to that. Similarly, in 1996, Anna Nagar committed suicide with the Ramesh family during the DMK regime, which stirred up a lot of controversy. Likewise Sadiqpatsa’s death. In 2003 Tha. Kritinan was beaten. Even though Jayalalitha was in power at that time, the blame fell on the DMK.

At a time when Jayalalithaa was constantly leveling these allegations against the DMK, she took some drastic steps to show that law and order was in order in her regime. Especially Shankaracharyaar’s arrest, Ayodhikuppam rowdy Veeramani encounter and Veerappan encounter in Chennai, he had created an impression on the people that law and order was in order through such activities.

But now 3 consecutive political assassinations have taken place under the DMK regime. Also, there has been a series of fake deaths. Therefore, people’s expectation is whether the Chief Minister will take action with an iron hand.
