Trump ‘Considering’ Trilateral Meeting With Putin, Zelenskyy in Alaska: Report
The White House is reportedly exploring the possibility of hosting a trilateral summit in Alaska on August 15, involving US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, NBC News has reported.
According to the outlet, a senior US official and three individuals familiar with internal discussions confirmed that the idea is “under discussion.” However, Zelenskyy’s participation has not been finalised, and it is still unclear whether he will be present in Alaska for any talks.
A White House official said on Saturday that President Trump is open to holding a three-way meeting with Putin and Zelenskyy. At present, however, the confirmed plan is for a bilateral meeting between Trump and Putin, scheduled at the Russian leader’s request.
