Trump Plans ₹1,670 Crore White House Ballroom to Host Larger State Dinners Without ‘Ugly Tents’

US President Donald Trump has given the nod to a plan to construct a new White House Ballroom, starting from September 2025.

US President Donald Trump has sanctioned an elaborate plan to construct a grand new White House Ballroom — a project that, according to a press release issued by the White House on Thursday, has been part of the wishlist of American presidents for more than 150 years.

The new facility, scheduled to commence construction in September 2025, is intended to provide future US administrations with an opulent space for hosting visiting heads of state and high-profile gatherings, eliminating the need for temporary outdoor tents.

Trump’s Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, stated, “President Trump has always been a builder by nature… and he is entirely dedicated to preserving the legacy of the White House while creating something that future generations can benefit from.”

The White House press statement also mentioned that Trump, who often emphasises his record as a developer, is not only approving the plan but also personally contributing towards funding the project.
