While the order to release Senthil Balaji from the Enforcement Directorate case is expected to be issued today, two new petitions have been filed on the part of Senthil Balaji, causing excitement.
Senthil Balaji, who has been remanded in judicial custody for over a year, has been dismissed by the Madras District Principal Sessions Court and the Madras High Court.
Subsequently, former minister Senthil Balaji had filed a petition seeking to be released from the illegal money transfer ban case. Later another petition was filed in the Madras Principal Sessions Court by Balaji seeking to set aside the order on this petition.
Enforcement Department: In that petition, the same court dismissed the petition seeking to postpone the hearing of the Enforcement Department case until the trial of the pending case in the Special Court is completed, alleging fraud by claiming employment in the transport department.
An appeal filed against this in the Chennai High Court is pending. Pending the decision on this petition, the decision to acquit the Enforcement Directorate from the case should be postponed,” the petition demanded.
Expectation: This petition came up for hearing on 12th. Judge Alli Senthil Balaji dismissed the petition. He also announced that the order on the petition filed by Senthil Balaji seeking release from the enforcement department case will be issued on July 16.
Apart from that, Judge Alli had ordered the extension of Senthil Balaji’s court custody till July 16 for the 46th time after the court custody of Senthil Balaji ended on the 12th. Therefore, the order that the court will give today has created a lot of expectation.
2 Petitions: While it was announced that an order would be issued today on the petition filed by Senthil Balaji seeking release from the Enforcement Department case, two new petitions have been filed by Senthil Balaji.
In that, he said that there are differences between the original documents related to the bank and the documents provided by the Enforcement Department, and since the documents provided to them have been handwritten and edited, the documents provided to them should be sent to the Forensic Science Department for examination and ordered to investigate the authenticity of those documents.
Request: Also, in the petition filed for his release from the case, all the arguments of the parties have been completed and the order is to be issued today.
After hearing these petitions, Judge Alli ordered the enforcement department to respond to these petitions and adjourned the hearing to the next day i.e. July 18.
