UP Cop Who Worshipped Floodwaters Now Dives Into ‘Ganga Maiyya’
A police officer from Prayagraj, who earlier went viral for worshipping floodwaters at the entrance of his house, is once again in the spotlight after diving into the rising waters from the first-floor window of his home. A video capturing the act has now gone viral on social media.
Chandradeep Nishad, a Prayagraj police officer, who previously made headlines for offering milk and flowers to the overflowing Ganga and Yamuna rivers outside his home, has again caught the attention of social media users—this time for jumping straight into the floodwaters.
In the widely circulated video, officer Nishad is seen leaping into the water from the first-floor window of his residence, with the floodwater reaching halfway up the front door.
The clip was shared by Nishad on his personal Instagram page, with the caption: “Today in the lap of Mother Ganga, Jai Ganga Maiyya.”
In a note of caution, the officer also advised people not to replicate his actions.
“You are requested not to attempt such things. I am a former national swimmer,” he clarified.
In a previous video, officer Nishad had been seen worshipping the floodwater of the River Ganga outside his house.
