Uttarakhand Tragedy: Cloudburst and Landslide Hit Pauri Garhwal After Uttarkashi Incident
After the incident in Uttarkashi, Pauri Garhwal also witnessed a cloudburst and landslide on Wednesday.
Adding to the ongoing destruction in the hill regions, a major landslide and cloudburst hit Sainji village in Pabau block of Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand, according to officials.
As per reports, a few migrant workers from Nepal are said to be missing after a flash flood struck Bankura village in Thailisain block of the district around 10:30 am today.
These recent disasters follow the cloudburst in Uttarkashi just a day earlier, which caused a flash flood in the high-altitude villages of Dharali, bringing down several buildings and submerging a large portion of the area.
Earlier today, another hilly state — Himachal Pradesh — also reported a cloudburst in Kinnaur district, which resulted in flood-like conditions there.
