In the Vikravandi by-election, the Naam Tamil Party has faced a severe setback. Even the vote bank of AIADMK we did not go to Tamils. DMK candidate Anniyur Siva continues to lead by getting 18128 votes. BAM candidate Anbumani got 7,604 votes. Naam Tamil Party candidate Abhinaya has secured 1305 votes.
It was almost said that the AIADMK-Naam Tamils were in an unofficial alliance here. But in the Vikravandi by-election, Naam Tamil Party has faced a severe setback. Even the vote bank of AIADMK we did not go to Tamils.
AIADMK did not contest this election. AIADMK has got good votes in the north. Mainly Vikravandi has 36% vote bank. In that case, the question arose as to who these votes of AIADMK will go to.
Naam Tamilar has been trying hard to get these votes from AIADMK. PMK is contesting here in alliance with BJP. We Tamils are competing alone as always.
Anbumani Move: Here Anbumani sought support from AIADMK. Anbumani campaigned with MGR Jayalalitha’s photo. Anbumani thinks that AIADMK votes will come to them anyway. Anbumani was actively doing field work to somehow buy 30+ votes of AIADMK.
Seaman Request; On the other hand, Seeman also sought the support of AIADMK. Like Anbumani, Seeman Edappadi directly asked for support without posting all the photos. In that, before starting the party, I supported Jayalalithaa and campaigned in support of AIADMK. The Sri Lankan war took place. I supported AIADMK against Congress and DMK which supported the mob that killed my own people. After that I again campaigned for AIADMK in 2011 elections. I campaigned to bring down the DMK.
In 2014, I again campaigned in support of AIADMK. No replication is expected. Didn’t buy money. I campaigned by shaking bills. Now we are standing in Vikravandi. We ask AIADMK support.
AIADMK-Seeman Alliance; Our common enemy is DMK. We are campaigning to bring down such a common enemy. The poisonous tree of DMK should be felled. For that simple children support us and stand with us. I stand by you. Please support us in this one election. AIADMK did not stand in this election. AIADMK should support us to be like that, he asked.
Edappadi Seeman Alliance: Almost AIADMK-Naam Tamils were said to be in an unofficial alliance here. It was said that Edappadi had requested not to vote for Bamkavins mainly in the by-elections for Vikravandi assembly constituency. He called party district and branch secretaries on phone and ordered them not to go to AIADMK polls
A high vote count in the Vikravandi by-election will strengthen Bamagawa’s bid for a seat in 2026. If they come with us in 2026 they will ask for more seats. Don’t give it space. AIADMK should not help BAM’s political rise. Anti-DMK votes should not easily go to Bamka. Can go to other parties too. Edappadi Palaniswami has spoken to the executives that they should not go to the BJP alliance.
implicit alliance; While it was said that Nam Tamils - AIADMK would be an indirect alliance, the Nam Tamils party suffered a severe setback in the Vikravandi by-election.
This makes us think that the Tamil ADMK alliance has been dealt a huge blow from the start.
