With Russia-Austria trip over… PM Modi has important meeting with economists..!!

With the full budget for FY 2024-25 scheduled to be presented on July 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held an important consultative meeting with the country’s top economists at the central government think tank Niti Aayog’s office in Delhi to seek suggestions for the budget.

The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Nidhi Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Peri, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra and leading economists and experts.

After the Russia-Austria tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with leading economists is seen as crucial with just two weeks to go before the Union Budget is presented on Thursday.

While India is currently the fifth largest economy, the Prime Minister presided over the meeting to focus on the goal of making India the third largest economy in the world through this budget and development programmes.

The Niti Aayog system of the central government has helped prepare the budget and formulate development plans by combining the four pillars of the field situation, the recommendations of the central government, the demands of the industry and the goals for future development. It is on this basis that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has held this meeting after completing his Russia-Austria tour.

It is reported that the meeting focused on the two main concepts of inclusive growth and excessive employment generation in the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Similarly, all important policy issues including new and pending policy reforms and financial investment strategies to accelerate the economic growth of the country were discussed in this meeting.

The budget session of the Central Parliament begins on July 22. Subsequently, on the 23rd, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the Union Budget for the year 2024-25 in Parliament as a digital budget statement. It gets extra attention as it is the first budget of the third term of the Narendra Modi government.

It is noteworthy that the interim budget was presented due to the Lok Sabha elections in February.
